Ski Chalets in Bovec/Kanin

pistemap

Kanin is the highest alpine resort in Slovenia.  It sits above the town of Bovec, with far reaching views across the Soca Valley.  Due to it's altitude it has a lengthy winter season, stretching from December to early May.  The resort remains uncrowded, despite its sunny location and it's stunning views from the Alps to the Adriatic Sea.

At the beginning of the 2009/2010 ski season, a new cable car will connect the Kanin ski slopes with the Italian resort of Sella Nevea.  This expansion will offer skiers and snowboarders a vast snow playground, and the Kanin-Sella Nevea resort will become one of the largest in Slovenia, enabling skiing late into the spring due to the high altitude on both sides of the mountain.
