Ski Chalets in La Clusaz

pistemap

La Clusaz is a traditional, predominantly French resort (part of the Les Aravis ski area) and is somewhat removed from the hustle and bustle of other resorts in the French Alps.   Not as well-known among British skiers as some of its more famous neighbours such as Avoriaz, Morzine and indeed Chamonix, it is currently enjoying a much-deserved surge of attention. The five mountain slopes at La Clusaz offer 130 km of piste that descend from open glades into tree lined pistes.  The resort offers fantastic variety for beginners, with over 60% of the pistes dedicated to the novice skier.  The considerable off-piste opportunities along the many Cols of the Aravis range mountain range are more suited to intermediate and advanced skiers.  Away from the slopes, La Clusaz offers a traditional alpine rustic charm in an unspoiled French mountain village.  A good selection of restaurants caters for the weekend skiers from nearby Annecy, and prices reflect this.  The resort doesn't offer a great nightlife but then that is not always a bad thing.
