Ski Chalets in Val d'Isere

Val d'Isere, in the Savoie area of France, is a cosmopolitan and vivacious winter sports haven that was originally a farming community. It is the better-known part of the Espace Killy ski region, and sits alongside purpose-built Tignes.  The area is named for Olympic hero Jean-Claude Killy, who grew up in Val d'Isere.

Val d'Isere remains a firm favourite with both British and French holidaymakers, offering some of the best skiing and boarding in the world. It offers more than 300km of marked pisted runs and unlimited off piste skiing within the Espace Killy area, making it an ideal location for skiers and boarders of all abilities to find something which satisfies all. In combination with its neighbouring resort Tignes, the 'Espace Killy' area is dedicated to all aspects of skiing. It is also set to host the World Skiing Championships in 2009.

Due to its location bordering the mountain peaks of the Italian border, Val d'Isere's snowfall record is exceptional.
